The camera came very well packaged and with an installation CD and manual. However, I did not use either. Once I had the camera plugged into my POE switch, I logged into my router and found the camera there. I then had the address to the camera. Upon logging into the camera, I changed the IP address to "static" (I did the same in my router). Also, the default password it "admin". This is not a camera for someone who is a beginner. You have to know a bit about networking. However, if you have someone do it for you, or do know a little something about networking, then this is a camera to consider. I have several Foscams, Dericams, and a generic or two. The 1280x960image quality is superb given the price. I port forwarded the camera and use an app on my phone and the image is great. So far, it has been in rain and ice (not hot weather yet) and the camera is working great. I use Blue Iris software (available from Amazon) to control all my cameras. I highly recommend it. - Customer Reviews
